Core processes
From the manufacturing source,
quality in every unit
Quality is not inspected in — it is manufactured in. Leonhard keeps core processes in-house: turning, milling, grinding, hobbing, heat treatment, winding and final assembly. Core CNC operations stay in our own plants so every part is controlled end to end.
These processes support a design life of more than 8 years, with stable output even in long, continuous industrial duty.
Dual precision hobbingHigher gear-mesh accuracy
Two precision hobbing passes raise mesh quality and keep noise down in batch production.
Dual heat treatmentTooth-root case depth > 1 mm
Two heat-treatment cycles harden the tooth root beyond 1 mm for long service life under load.
Hard-face hobbingWear resistance and load capacity
Hard-face hobbing improves wear life and the load the gear set can carry.
Gear accuracyBatch grade 6
Gears are produced to batch grade 6, supporting quiet running at ≤55 dB.
Tooth thickness20% thicker than common gears
Teeth are about 20% thicker than ordinary gears, adding strength in continuous duty.
Module designOne size larger than typical, more stable transmission
Module is one step larger than the common choice (e.g. 1.25 vs 1.0), improving transmission stability.

Pacific F-class PEW 155°C magnet wire. Inter-turn withstand 2500 VAC, limit temperature 180°C — not E-class 130°C stock used by many peers.

Taiwan Chuan-Dian grade 470 laminations. About 7% higher efficiency at the same power, with temperature rise that can stay below 23°C.
