Standard gear motors (120 W–400 W)

The band between compact K-series and high-power GH/GV — 120–250W 6GU frames and GH/GV 0.1–0.4 kW (100–400 W).

What sits in this class

6GU 120–250W

Top of the K-series envelope. Heavy gearhead, Ø14 mm shaft. Ratios 1:3–1:180.

GH/GV 0.1 kW

100W GH foot / GV vertical. Aluminium frames 18 / 22 / 28.

GH/GV 0.2 / 0.4 kW

200W and 400W main drives. Same mounting kit as the rest of the GH/GV family.

Output torque (N·m) — 0.1 / 0.2 / 0.4 kW

Rows are ratio. Empty cells are not offered. Two-stage ratios 200:1–1800:1 are quoted from the full table. 750 W and above: see high-power gear motors.

Sizing check: T (N·m) = 9550 × P (kW) / n × ratio × 0.90.

Code, frames and electrics

Example GH28-200-30-S-B = GH foot / frame 28 / 200 power code / ratio 30 / S 3φ 220·380V / B brake. The 200 power code is 0.2 kW — inside this standard band.

Frames 18 / 22 / 28 are ADC12 aluminium. IP55, Class F (155°C), S1 continuous duty, 50/60 Hz. Standard 4-pole 1420 rpm.

On an inverter, keep normal gear-motor frequency below 60 Hz. A brake on a VFD needs its own 220V single-phase supply.

Need 750 W or above?

High-power gear motors start at 0.75 kW. Compact 6W–90W is a separate page.
